XO is a hi-fi listening bar shaped by the intimacy of Japanese kissas and the materiality of Midwestern modernism. Set in a converted garage in Kansas City’s Westside, it blends rustic charm with modern warmth—evoking the secretive allure of kissas for the city’s music lovers.
The brand identity extends that atmosphere. Graphic typography and structured layouts nod to vinyl culture, creating a visual rhythm that complements the space’s sonic focus. Illustration adds charm in quiet moments—on coasters, menus, and print ephemera—reinforcing the brand’s character without overstating it.
